Getting Started
How do I create a character?
When you start Football Superstars for the first time you will be prompted to create your character. At first you will be shown a character made up of a random assortment of available components, but as you make your own choices they will be reflected on the preview character.
The character creation menu has four areas of customization, defined by the four navigation tabs (Details, Head, Clothing, Club). You will find an Information button("i") in the bottom-right corner of each tab. The Info button can be found in many other places, but in each instance you can click it to find helpful information regarding the game.
The Details Tab
This tab allows you to change: - Your character's gender - Your character's skin tone - Your character's Forename, Surname, and Nickname After entering a Forename and Surname for your character, you will need to choose a Nickname. This is particularly important as it is the name you will be most commonly known by in the Football Superstars world and it will appear in various places, from your chat messages to the name on the back of your shirt!
The Head Tab
This tab allows you to customize your character's face and head by altering their facial structure, eyes, nose, lips, hairstyle, as well as hair and eye color. If you need a little inspiration then you can use the "Random" button to have the game create a new randomised face for you to tinker with. You can move the camera around your character by left clicking anywhere on the screen and dragging the mouse in the direction you'd like the camera to move.
The Clothing Tab
Here you can customize your initial outfit. By going through the options for tops, legwear, and footwear you can select some basic clothing to fit your character's starting style. Of course there will be hundreds more items of clothing available in the shops of the Football Superstars world once you have started earning a wage at your first football club.
The Club Tab
Once you've finalized a look for your character, and are ready to begin your rise to fortune and fame, you will need to pick the club where you want your career to begin. Each team crest reveals a bit of information about each club's history and allows you to see a preview of your character in the club kit. Once you are happy with all your character creation choices, click the "Accept"(signified by a tick sign) button to enter the world and take your first steps on the way to becoming a Football Superstar.
What does the Gym do?
The Gym is a place in the Football Superstars world where you can increase the physical statistics of your character. Gyms are dotted around the lifestyle world in various places, and there is also one in each of the Football Superstars club grounds(you need to be a subscriber in order to have access to these).
Who are Journalists?
Journalists are Non-Player Characters(NPCs) that you can speak within Football Superstars which will help you increase your fame. There are three different types of Journalists, and they represent the three major forms of media: newspapers, radio, and television. The more fame you have, the more Journalists will be interested in speaking with you, and the greater your exposure will be(resulting in yet higher Fame).
What is my celebrity rating?
Your character's celebrity rating represents how famous he or she is in the Football Superstars world. It functions basically like your character's level, spanning 28 different ratings, starting with "Z-List Celebrity." You can increase this rating by playing matches, interviewing with journalists, and drinking at your favourite establishment.
How many characters can I have on my account?
You can have up to four characters on your account. If you want to create another character after you've reached this limit, you'll have to delete an existing character first.
What are Stats?
Your six base stats are:
Strength - Your physical power, how far and quickly your can kick/pass/shoot.
Endurance - Your energy reserves, how fast you recouperate stamina and how much stamina you use.
Agility - Your nimbleness, how well you can react, dodge, tackle etc.
Speed - Your mobility, how fast you can move up and down the pitch.
Spatial Awareness - Your perception, how well you can keep everything in perspective.
Accuracy - Your aim, how sharp your shots are, passes, tackles etc.
As you level up, you will receive six stat points per level which you can distribute as you like amongst your six base stats. To increase your stats you will have to train using the correct stat machines found in Gyms dotted around the FS world. Just click on the right training equipment to train a stat in that particular field.
Billing
How much does Football Superstars cost to play?
Football Superstars is free to download and play. Throughout the commercial release of the game players will be able to purchase additional features provided by the Football Superstars development team. If you wish, you can buy additional bonds or a subscription, which allows you to enjoy other aspects of the game.
I get an error telling me 'There appears to be a problem adding your credit/debit card to your account'
If you receieve an error when you attempt to add your credit/debit card to your Football Superstars account, please find the relevant error code below and follow the instructions:
FS-10002, FS-10003, FS-10004
Please check your Card Number, Address, Expiry Date/CVV Code and Issue Number (if applicable). If these details appear to be correct, please contact your bank. Please ensure your bank has not blocked the transaction for any security reason and that the funds are available in your account

PMC
How do I join a PMC?
You can only join a PMC if you are invited by a ranking member. You must be logged into the game and not in a match in order to receive an invitation.
How do I join a PMC event?
There are plenty of events taking place each week for PMCs to take part in. Full details of these will be viewable through the Tournaments section of the website. If you are a member of a PMC then you can enter your team into an event.
How many PMC's can I join?
Each character can only be a member of one PMC at any one time. If you have multiple characters on your account then each one may be a member of a different PMC, or they may all be in the same one.
Can I watch a PMC match?
You can watch a PMC replay the same was as watching an FS Club match. Click on the Search icon on your menu bar in game and then type the name of a player in the PMC. You can then click on Replays to see a full list of all the games that this player has played in. Click on the match you want to view and you can then watch the replay.
How many people can join a PMC?
There is no maximum limit to the number of players who can join a PMC.
What do the ranks in a PMC mean?
Member - Can play in a PMC match
Scout - Can invite new players to the PMC
Captain - Can invite players to the team and set up matches
Coach - Can invite or dismiss players from the team, can set up matches and can promote players within the PMC
Manager - The owner of the PMC. They have full control of all functions within the PMC
Subscriptions
What is a Subscription?
A subscription is a method of upgrading your player to Premium Status which will give access to premium content, benefits and extra bonds, giving you an advantage over other Football Superstars.
What do I get when I subscribe?
As a subscriber you will be given access to exclusive game content and will be given a set number of bonds depending on your subscription type. Premium Status will give your player access to areas such as FS Clubhouse Gyms and locker rooms. You will also be able to create your own Player Managed Club (PMC), for more information on PMC please see our PMC faq at https://footballsuperstars.com/support/faq/?cat=30 You will qualify to play in Division 1 when your Premium Status character reaches level 75 You can choose which players you want to upgrade to Premium Status or which players remain as Free To Play, however you must wait until youe subscription expires until you can play with your Free To Play characters. Please note, subscriptions cannot be cancelled directly, only recurring payments can be cancelled.
How many Fs Bonds do I get when I subscribe?
The number of FS Bonds you receive will depend on your subscription type. You will receive these FS Bonds everytime your subscription is renewed. You will receive 10 bonds with a one month subscription but 20 bonds with a three month subscription.
How long can I subscribe for?
Subscriptions are available for different periods of time. For more information on this please see our subscriptions page at https://footballsuperstars.com/my_account/upgrade_account/ You can cancel your next subscription payment at any time, however this will not take effect until your next renewal date, therefore you can continue to enjoy your Premium Status until the end of your current subscription period.
How much does a Subscription cost?
We have many subscription packages available. For more information on our subscription packages and their costs, please log into your account on the Football Superstars account and see https://footballsuperstars.com/my_account/upgrade_account/
Can I cancel my Subscription?
You can cancel your next subscription payment after which we will not take any further payments, although your subscription will stay active until your renewal date.
What happens when I cancel my recurring payments?
When you cancel your next recurring payment, we will not take any further payments but you can continue to enjoy your Premium Status until the end of your current subscription period.
How do I cancel my recurring payment?
You can cancel your recurring payment in the 'Manage Subscriptions' section of your account. You can do this anytime you please, bear in mind the current subscription will carry on until its end date.
What happens to my items/skills if I cancel my recurring payment or my subscription expires?
If you cancel your recurring payments, or your subscription expires, you will be unable to access any of your characters which you have upgraded to Premium Status. You will still be able to access and play with your Free To Play characters. You cannot transfer items/skills to your Free To Play characters
Do I have to subscribe for a minimum period of time?
You do not have to subscribe for a minimum period of time. You may cancel your subscription payments at anytime, however this will not take effect until your next renewal date. Therefore we will not take any further payments but you can continue to enjoy your Premium Status until the end of your current subscription period. If the renewal payment is cancelled by the user, then the subscription will end at the predetermined expiry date.
Is it safe to store my credit card details?
At Football Superstars, we take your online security very seriously therefore we go to great lengths to ensure your details are always kept safe

Your credit card details are stored on separate secure PCI compliant servers for your security, ease of use and convenience
How can I check how long is left of my Subscription?
You can find your subscription renewal date by logging in and checking the 'My Account' section of www.footballsuperstars.com
Can I get a free Subscription?
Football Superstars regularly run promotions and competitions which give you the chance to win great prizes, sometimes the lucky winners may just get themselves a free subscription. Keep an eye on our website and forums for your next chance to bag a great Football Superstars prize
Can I buy Subscriptions for somebody else?
It is currently not possible to purchase a subscription for someone else's account. Currently the only way to add a subscription to another player's account is to access their account. Accessing another player's account is against the rules of conduct. Anyone offering to add a subscription to your account should be reported to Cybersports and treated as someone attempting to steal your account.
How do I renew my Subscription?
Subscriptions which were purchased using a credit or debit card will automatically be renewed on the expiry date of your current subscription. Payment will be taken from the payment method used to purchase your original subscription so please make sure these details are valid and up to date. You can choose a different length of subscription if you wish at renewal.
Once I subscribe with one payment method, do I have to use the payment method forever?
No, you do not have to use the same payment method forever. It is possible to cancel your next subscription payment and purchase another subscription with an alternative payment method. However, you need to check if the option to subscribe is available by the payment method you wish to use.
Why aren't all payment methods available in my country?
We are currently working to provide as many payment options to each country as we possibly can. If a payment option is not listed as being available for your country, please contact Customer Support so we look making this option available in future. Bear in mind, not all countries support certain types of payment.
When will my Subscription start?
Your subscription will commence as soon as we can successfully process your payment. In most cases this will happen immediately. You can then upgrade your character to Premium Status the next time you log into Football Superstars. If you are already on a subscription then this should carry on as per normal.
Do I pay per computer or per account?
Your subscription will apply to your account, therefore you can enjoy your Premium Status on any computer which can run Football Superstars
Do you have a refund policy?
As a rule, an amount paid towards a subscription or the purchase of bonds cannot be reimbursed. Please see our Reimbursement Policy for more details https://footballsuperstars.com/support/policies/reimbursement
Will my Subscription automatically renew?
Yes - Subscriptions which were purchased using a credit or debit card will automatically be renewed on the expiry date of your current subscription. Payment will be taken from the payment method used to purchase your original subscription so please make sure these details are valid and up to date
Bonds
What are FS dollars?
FS dollars is the in-game currency which can be used to purchased items throughout the game. Use FS dollars to purchase new clothes for your character or upgrade your skills.
What are FS bonds?
FS bonds are a way of converting real cash into FS dollars to be used in game.
How many FS dollars are FS bonds worth?
Each FS bond is worth 1000 FS dollars
How many FS bonds can I buy?
There is no limit to the number of FS bonds you can buy. The more FS bonds you buy, the higher your character's bank balance will become allowing you to splash out on clothes and drinks to live the lifestyle of a real Football Superstar. FS Dollars can also be used to purchase skills to increase your player's ability on the pitch.
How many FS bonds can I allocate to each character?
You can allocate as many of your FS Bonds to each of your characters as you would like.
How long are FS bonds valid for?
There is no time limit on FS bonds. Unused FS bonds will remain on your account for as long as you want.
How can I find out how many FS bonds I have?
The number of FS bonds you have remaining on your account will be showing in your 'Wallet'
How can I pay for FS bonds?
Each FS bond is worth 1000 FS dollars
What if I don't have a credit card or debit card?
Unfortunately, the only payment methods we currently accept are credit card or debit card, however we do intend to add alternative payment methods in the future
How can I change my credit card details?
You can change your credit card details during the checkout process. If you press 'checkout' then select the 'Add A New Card'
What is a Wallet?
When you purchase FS bonds they are stored in your 'Wallet'. Accessing your Wallet will allow you to allocate the required number of bonds to each character.
How do I allocate my FS bonds to characters?
You can allocate FS bonds to your character from your 'Wallet'. Simply enter the number of FS bonds you wish to allocate and press 'Update'. You shall see your total FS bonds decrease by this number. Remember 1 FS bond = 1000 FS dollars.
How do I convert FS bonds into FS dollars?
FS bonds are converted to FS dollars during the game by selecting the Bureau De Change from the PDA
Can I convert my FS dollars back to FS bonds?
FS dollars can not be converted back to FS Bonds.
Can I reclaim FS bonds that have been allocated but not used?
Yes, FS bonds can be transferred back to your Wallet as long as they have not been converted to FS dollars. Once an FS bond has been converted to FS dollars, it cannot be reallocated to a different character
Can I transfer FS bonds between my characters?
Unused FS bonds can be returned to your wallet then reallocated to another character within the same account
If I have multiple accounts, can I transfer FS bonds between accounts?
FS bonds cannot be transferred between accounts.
Can I transfer my FS dollars between my characters?
FS dollars cannot be transferred between characters.
Can I transfer my FS dollars between accounts?
FS dollars cannot be transferred between accounts.
Can I buy bonds for someone else?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to buy FS Bonds for someone else. Any FS Bonds you purchase are specific to your account and cannot be transfered to another player.
Can unused FS bonds be refunded to my credit card?
FS bonds cannot be refunded once they have been purchased
Can FS Bonds be used to buy items in the game?
Yes, FS Bonds can be used in 2 ways.
1) FS Bonds can be converted to FS Dollars. FS Dollars can be used to purchase items and skills. 2) Some items cost a mix of FS Dollars and FS Bonds, therefore you need to have enough FS Dollars and FS Bonds to purchase these items.
The price of each item is clearly marked.
How do I claim missing bonds?
If you feel that some of your bonds have gone missing, please send a ticket to our support department.
Is there a monthly fee to play the game?
The game is free to play. However you can buy a subscription which will give you added benefits for the game. To buy a subscription, please goto 'My Account', and click on 'Add Subscription'.
Are there multiple methods of payment?
Yes. You can pay by a number of different means, such as Credit/Debit card, Mobile Phone Payment, Paysafe Card, Paypal, Wallie and UKash.
I want to pay by credit or debit card. Is your site secure?
Yes. The site is secure, and we also have rules set in place to prevent any potential fraud violations.
Can I purchase bonds using PayPal?
Yes. You can purchase using Paypal by logging into the website, then via the 'My Account' section.
I'm seeing a £1 charge on my credit/debit card bill which has been refunded. What is this?
When you add a credit/debit card a £1 deposit is taken then immediately refunded to your bank account. This is done so we can confirm that the card is legitimate.
Can I purchase with cash?
It is not possible to purchase bonds with cash.
Can I get free bonds?
If you purchase a subscription you are entitled to a free set of bonds per certain time period. However if you would like bonds without subscription, you will need to purchase them.
I live in Ireland, do you accept Laser cards?
No. We do not currently accept Laser cards.
Do you accept Solo debit cards?
Yes. We do accept Solo debit cards.
Do you accept cheques/postal orders/money orders as payment?
No. For added security we do not accept these means of payment.
Can I make SMS purchases?
Yes. You can purchase via mobile phone using the Paymo payment option of our website.
I've tried to purchase by credit or debit card, and it hasn't worked. Can you tell me why?
If you are experiencing problems purchasing bonds, please send a ticket to our support team.
How can under 18s pay for bonds?
If you are under 18 you add bonds via Paymo(our mobile phone option), Wallie, Ukash and Paysafe.
What currency rates do you offer?
At the moment, you can purchase using English Pounds(£), Dollars($), or the Euro.
Technical
Who designed Football Superstars, its graphics and the technology? What is a patch update? What if my Internet Service Provider doesn't support the game? (e.g. Netcarbo) Is there a list of graphics cards which will run Football Superstars? How do I check my computer specifications? Is my personal firewall blocking access to Football Superstars? I use Linux, can I play Football Superstars? Why do I get the alert DirectX failure? Why did/do I get disconnected? Why do I get the message 'Couldn't connect to Account Server'? Gameplay
How do I join an FS Club Game?
To join an FS Club Game and play for your team, first you need to tell your manager you are ready for a game. To do this, raise the FS Match Finder, by pressing F10, or selecting the Match Finder icon on your PDA. With the Match Finder open, select the type of game you would like to play. You can only play games open to your level - so as a new player you can't play 7 or 11-a-side-games until your level has increased.
You will be matched with other players in the world who want to play a similar game, and you will be able to watch the progress of the game filling up.
What is I Spot?
I Spot is a revolutionary system with which you can find detailed player information about any player in Football Superstars. It can be a fantastic tool for scouting potential signings to your Player-Managed Club. Simply open it by clicking the I Spot icon in your PDA. Once you have found a player, you can see details. These include character level, any clubs they are a member of, and statistics based on their match performance.
What is a PMC?
A PMC is a Player Managed Club. Anybody can start a PMC, although you need to be a subscriber. They function similarly to how guilds operate in other games, and allow you and your friends to play and challenge other PMCs.
How are Leagues scored?
The sponsor league is based around an ELO system. The team with the most ELO points will be at the top of the league, and the one with the least at the bottom. League standings are based on ELO scores which allows many matches to be played at any time. The system averages out the score of the team based on the amount of matches played, results, goals scored and other factors.
Where can I find the replay files for Football Superstars?
The replay file for the last match you played will automatically be downloaded and saved as 'lastmatchplayed.fsr' This file can be found at : For Windows XP : C:\Program Files\Football Superstars\Recordings For Windows Vista : However, if UAC is enabled on Vista, it does not go here. It goes to C:\Users\ USERNAME \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Football Superstars\Recordings
You can also see replays by clicking on the I Spot function on your PDA. If you search by character, this will enable you access to replays of every game that character has played recently.
Can I watch a replay of a PMC match?
Yes. Simply press on the I Spot icon on your PDA. This will allow you to search by character, and watch a replay of any game that character has played recently.
Why do the Football Clubs not use real club names?
Football Superstars does not have the licensing rights to use club names (e.g. Manchester United, Real Madrid or AC Milan).
How do I change my controls?
On the log in screen(to the game), under options, click on the section saying 'Key Settings'. Then click on the tab saying 'Match Controls'. You can then change the controls accordingly using the scrollbar options. The left scrollbar shows the function for the key. The right scrollbar show the key option for that function.
Why do I have lag?
If you have lag, this may be due to your settings. On the login screen(to the game), click on 'Graphics Settings'. Here you have a choice to alter the graphics settings accordingly. Try a lower setting if you are experiencing any lag in the game. If you still experience lag, please ensure that your computer meets our minimum requirements.
How do I find replays of matches?
On your PDC, click on the 'Search' option. Here you can search for any player character nickname in the game. Once you have found a character, click on 'Replay'. This will give you a list of every match that character has played. Each match is available to download for replay.
Can I stay logged into the game as long as I want?
You can stay logged in for as long as you want. However, after a certain period of inactivity, you will be automatically logged out.
What does AFK mean?
AFK means Away From Keyboard. After a certain period of AFK, you will be automatically logged out of the game.
What is the Maximum level you can reach?
The 'Maximum Level' you can reach is 100. Please note after reaching different levels you are promoted to the appropriate division.
Are there offsides?
There are offsides in the 7-a-side and 11-a-side matches. This is to ensure players are used to the gameplay in 3-a-side and 5-a-side, before the offside rule is enforced.
What are the different fame levels?

Do I need to know the rules of football?
Obviously knowing the rules of football would help. However you can keep playing the game to ensure you understand them better.
How do I add people to my friends list?
On your PDA, click on the 'Friends/Foes' option. You can add a friend by typing in the nickname of the character you would like to add under 'Add By Nickname'.
How many people can I add to my friends list?
You can add as many players as you want to your friends list.
How do I find out if a friend is online?
If you add a friend to your friends list, you can see if they are online on the status bar next to their name in your friends list.
What are Bots? Are they allowed?
Under no circumstances are bots/3rd party software allowed. Bots are means of playing the game when AFK, normally used to gain advantage over other players. For more information see our policies https://footballsuperstars.com/support/policies/
What are the different levels I need to be to get promoted to a higher division?
You should be automatically promoted to a higher division when you reach a certain level: Academy - Level 1 to 9 Division 4 - Level 10 to 24 Division 3 - Level 25 to 49 Division 2 - Level 50 to 74 Division 1 - Level 75 and higher
How do I switch off the sound?
To play without sound when in game, open your Settings menu in game (ESC)and you can then change the audio settings.
What are drinks?
Drinks are items which will help increase your fame. You can buy a drink in a bar, a club, a restaurant or cafe. Certain exclusive spots can only be accessed with a particular level of fame, so if the bouncers won't let you in, be sure to come back later when you are more famous. Remember to drink responsibly! You can only order a drink if you are actually thirsty. If a bartender thinks you have had enough he will tell you, so you should go out and play some more football to work up a thirst!
How can I buy clothes?
To buy clothes, simply visit any of the retail outlets in the lifestyle world and talk to any of the Traders inside.
What are Bars, Cafes, clubs and Restaurants?
The Football Superstars world is full of bars, restaurants and nightclubs to hang out in. These make for excellent venues in which to socialise in with other Superstars, but also play an important part in your character development.
Matches
What is preloading?
Preloading is when you queue up an action just before the situation(which may require that action) occurs. For instance, you could queue up a header at goal, as the ball is being passed to you, so that you can take a shot before your opponents have a chance to react. From the opposite perspective, defenders can preload their clearances in the same way to make sure the man they are marking doesn't get a touch. Preloading is a fundamental part of the gameplay in Football Superstars, and most winning teams will use this technique often.
What is the Positional Play Screen?
The Positional Play Screen is incredibly useful in giving valuable information at a glance, showing where you are most effective on the pitch, over time. The attacking area of the pitch(the goal area of the opposition) is always at the top. Defensive positions are at the bottom. How you perform over time is displayed on the pitch with a colour overlay. Perform well in a particular area and the overlay will move towards a light green colour. Perform badly and it will move towards a shade of red. Additionally, a numeric value of your performance is shown in each area. Towards the right of the pitch display are filter options. You can filter the results shown in three ways, changing the values using the arrow buttons. Team size: Filters results by the team size. Time: Filters results over time. Match Type: Filters results by match type.
What is a Football Club Match?
When you join your Football Club, you will be assigned into a team by your manager. Each team can play in official matches for their club, thereby increasing the rating and fame of the club if they win the match. Your primary method of gaining FS Dollars and Experience comes from playing in official club matches. When you play in an official match, you will play against another FS Club, and wear your clubs uniform on the pitch.
What are Subvotes?
Football Superstars has a special way of dealing with foul play on the football pitch. In the top-right corner of your screen you will see a panel comprising of various parts of information. One of these parts is a bar which begins green, but can gradually turn red if you perform certain actions. Committing fouls, scoring own goals, hogging the ball excessively, or leaving your character idle for a long period of time increases the amount of red segments on the bar. When the bar turns completely red, your team-mates will get the opportunity to have you removed from the pitch via a substitution. If your teammates feel that your actions warrant an early bath they can then vote to have you substituted by pressing "Y". If on the other hand they feel that the own goal was accidental they can press "N" to vote for you to remain on the pitch. Majority rules and if most of your team have chosen to give you the elbow then you will be removed from the pitch to be replaced by another available player. If most players vote no or choose to abstain by not voting at all then you will remain in the match. If it is you who is up for the vote and the majority of your team-mates opt to kick you out then you will instantly be removed from the match. As a penalty for your dismissal, you will be unable to enter another match for ten minutes.
What is a PMC Match?
If you are a member of a Player Managed Club(PMC), you can challenge other PMCs and compete in the PMC league. Like FS Club matches you will earn money, experience, and stats by completing the match.

What is the Lifestyle World?
The Lifestyle World is everything in Football Superstars that doesn't involve playing on the pitch. Walking around the world, hitting the gym, or even having a drink; the Lifestyle World captures what it is really like to be a Football Superstar.
What can I do in the game when I'm not playing football?
Outside of playing football, players can interact within two major cities, Alexander Bay and Clarkswater. Players can interact with members of the press such as newspaper, radio and even TV reporters in order to increase their celebrity status. They can also visit many of the city's Night Clubs and Entertainment Specialty stores. Players are able to travel about the FS World while waiting in a match queue, or while waiting for other members of their club to come online. Metro stations are available for quick and easy transit to the other club houses and around the city. In general, when not playing football, the social aspect of the game comes into the spotlight where you and your friends can hang out, have a drink or even talk about a recent match.
What commands do I use when running around the FS World?
Generally players use the same commands they do when playing football to navigate around the FS World. Movement is still controlled by the AWSD keys and supplemented by mouse clicks and mouse turning. The city is highly based off clicking a target, door, NPC or object to interact with it. Players can also access their PDA to review their menus or see if they have enough money to buy a new clothing item.
What can I do with my locker?
The locker functions as an additional place to store your inventory. If you find you're running out of space, or just like to be more organized, you can purchase a locker which you can access at any locker room in the world. Each locker can store 50 items, so buy as many as you need!
Is there a map of the lifestyle world?
Yes. When in the lifestyle world, press 'M'. This will bring up the map on your screen.

How do I talk to other players?
In the lower left corner is your basic chat box. To type something, when you do not have another menu open, simply hit enter and type. When you are finished, just hit enter again. There are several different channels, represented by the symbols to the left of the chat box. What are some of the chat shortcuts?
Typing /s or /say will allow you to chat in the spatial channel. /t, /tell, /w, /whisper is used for sending private messages and must include a nickname e.g. /t Johnny Hi, how's it going?. /pmc is used to talk in the PMC Club channel. /fs, or /sponsor is for FS Club channel chat.
What is the FS Club chat channel?
The FS Club chat channel can be used to communicate exclusively with members of your FS Club (e.g. Fretsby Argyle members only). This is regardless of where in the world your team-mates may be. This can be useful for arranging matches, talking tactics and celebrating victories. To message in this channel quickly without having to fiddle with any buttons, prefix your comment with /fs.
Money and the Economy
How do I buy and sell clothes?
You may buy or sell clothing by entering clothing shops which are scattered throughout the Football Superstars world. Take note that different shops offer different items so you may want to explore each shop before buying. When you enter a clothing shop, you will then need to go to a clothing trader located in each store. Click on these characters to bring up the buy/sell options.
BUYING: To buy clothing, you will need Football Superstars Dollars(FSD). If you do not have any, you can participate in games or sell items you already have. Clicking on the descriptions of clothing on the right will bring up an image of what this clothing will look like on your character. If you like the clothing, you then will need to click the "Buy" icon under this list. If you see a model wearing a bathing suit instead of the clothes that you clicked on, then those particular clothes are intended for the opposite gender.
SELLING: In order to sell clothing, you will need some in your inventory. You can navigate to your inventory by clicking "I" on your keyboard. In order to put the clothes that your character is currently wearing back into your inventory, double click on that specific clothing icon which is on your character. This icon will have a check mark on it. You sell clothing by clicking on the clothing you want to sell and then clicking on the "SELL" icon under the list of clothes from your inventory.
- Note: If you ever want to sell what you bought, you can only sell it for half the price of what you bought it for originally. So choose wisely!
How do I get money?
Your main source of making money is participating in FS matches for your football club. The amount earned will vary depending on your performance and the difficulty level of the games. You can also purchase in-game money (Football Superstars Bonds) with real-world money from the Football Superstars website (www.footballsuperstars.com).
What are Football Superstars Bonds?
Football Superstars Bonds (FS Bonds) are issued as in-game money that you can purchase for real-world money at the FS website. You can redeem the bonds by opening your in-game PDA and selecting Exchange. For more information on FS Bonds, please see https://footballsuperstars.com/my_account/bonds_tutorial/
What is the Exchange?
The Exchange can be used to convert any FS Bonds you have purchased into FS Dollars. You can access the Exchange from your PDA options.
Character Progression
What are Skills?
Your natural skill on the pitch can be helped by buying additional skills. Skills are greyed out if you have not trained the skill, and are in colour if you have. Hovering your mouse cursor over a skill will give you its name. Clicking on the skill will give you a detailed description(to the right) of exactly what the skill does. The skills are also broken down into colour coded categories. These are:
Attack - skills which are most useful to attack orientated play.
Defense - skills which are most useful to defense orientated play.
Possession - skills for those who play in midfield positions the most.
General - skills which increase your abilities all-round.
There is a background colour attached to the skill icon. Skills are displayed in alphabetical order and there are varying maximum levels for each skill.
How do I train my Skills?
You can increase your performance on the pitch by purchasing special moves from skill trainers. Click on a skill trainer to talk to them. If a skill trainer has taught you all the skills he knows, he may decline a chat! Alterntively, you may need to learn some other skills as a prerequisite to learning skills from a particular trainer. This will also result in the trainer not speaking to you. If however, you are qualified enough to buy from the skill trainer, a list of available skills will be displayed. Hover over each skill in the list to see what the skill is called and what advantages it could give you. Use the scroll bar if needed to see more options.
What are the different types of skills I can buy?
You can buy passive skills or active skills. Passive skills help increase your stats and do not need to be activated in game. Active skills(e.g the overhead kick or diving header) can be activated in game by pressing the Q or E buttons, depending on which slot you have selected that particular skill in.
How do I become more famous?
You can improve your fame by participating in Club Matches for your football club. You can also gain fame by buying drinks inside of bars and clubs.
Why should I care about fame?
Fame is a primary progression mechanism, and comes with great rewards both on and off the field. Besides being able to talk to more savvy journalists, increasing your fame will open up areas previously inaccessible, as well as prizes which can include clothing, statistic increases, in game money, or experience increases.
When do I get my rewards for speaking to a Journalist?
You will receive a reward after you complete each 36 minute segment of whatever media you are currently interviewing for(newspaper, radio, or television). If you take a look at the interview interface, you can see how many minutes you have left in each tier to receive your rewards.
What is the Radar?
The radar can help you navigate around the Football Superstars world. The central red dot is your position in the world and the arrow next to it indicates the direction you are facing. The coloured dots indicate a non-player controlled character in the world who may be useful to you. Orange dots are tutorial characters, blue dots are skill trainers, and the green dots are kick-about organisers.
What is the ELO Rating System used to score FS Leagues?
The ELO rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of teams/players in competitive games. "Elo" is often written in capital letters (ELO), but it is not an acronym. It is the family name of the system's creator, Arpad Elo (1903 - 1992), a Hungarian-born American physics professor. ELO was originally invented as an improved chess rating system although it is used in many games today. It is also used as a rating system for competitive multi-player play in a number of computer games, and has been adapted to team sports including international football, American college football and basketball, and Major League Baseball.
Each team in a league will begin with an average rating score. As they win/lose/draw matches with other teams, their rating will increase or decrease an amount of points determined by the difference between their rating, and their opponents rating. This allows for any number of games to be played in a league, as your rating is not determined by the total number of wins/losses/draws, but instead on the difference in rating in your opponents. Winning against a similarly rated team will net an average amount of points, whereas winning against a much higher rated team will result in more points, with less points for wins against a lower rated team. Losing is inversely proportionate, as losing against a higher rated team will only cost a small amount of rating, but a loss to a much lower rated team could be devastating to your own teams rating.
How do I train my Stats?
In your club's gym, you will find Stat Training Machines. Using these once you have leveled up and have unallocated stat points allows you to increase your character's stats. In the stat training interface you will see the name of the stat about to be trained, as well as the cost of training that stat. There will be a cumulatively greater cost in FS Dollars for continually increasing one particular stat rather than increasing all stats equally. For example, going up a level will earn you six stat points. If you allocate one stat point to each stat by using each type of stat machine the cost will be minimal. Spend all six stat points on just one machine though and you will gain an advantage in that stat but at a high price!
