Getting yellow card, scoring own goals, hogging on the ball for 30 seconds, or leaving your character idle for a long period of time will result in sub vote.

If, during the course of a match you have done something to incur a vote being cast, you will see this box in the left of the screen.

While you see this, your team-mates will see two slightly different boxes, informing them that there is a player up for a vote. Here you will see the name of the player who is up for the vote, and the reason for this. If you feel that the player deserves an early bath, then press the "Y" key at this point to vote him off. If you think that this is unjustified, press the "N" key.

The vote is decided by the majority, and if a player is sent off, he may or may not get a 10 minutes match ban, it depends on luck for the time being.
